ROOM MODE CALCULATOR

Room mode analysis with frequency response, pressure mapping, and source optimization. Rectangular and custom room shapes, up to 10 sources.

How to use
  1. Set the room -- adjust dimensions with the sliders, or switch to Custom and draw any floor plan shape. Click midpoint circles to add nodes, right-click a node to remove it. Hold Shift while dragging nodes to constrain movement to 45-degree angles.
  2. Place sources and listener -- drag them on the plan view (up to 10 sources), or click to select and type exact coordinates in the fields above the plan.
  3. Read the response -- peaks and nulls in the frequency plot are the modes at work. Turn on Overlay to see pressure distribution across the room at any frequency.
  4. Gain control -- both the heatmap and frequency response have a Gain knob with Fixed/Auto modes. Auto normalizes the display (spatial mean for the heatmap, frequency mean for the FR). Fixed shows absolute levels with a gain knob to shift the view. Drag the knob up/down, scroll, or double-click to reset.

The mode distribution graph shows where modes cluster and where gaps exist. The Bonello chart counts modes per 1/3-octave band -- each band should have at least as many as the one before it.
